What’s It About?
This workshop will discuss flood exposures and insurance, and will help the insurance professional gain a comfort level that few have attained during his or her career.

Who’s It For?
This workshop is designed for agents/brokers and adjusters who deal with Flood, Homeowners, Commercial Property, Business Owners, and Inland Marine contracts. The information is valuable for all insurance professionals and other professionals who must protect the interests of their “customers,” including underwriters, reinsurers, risk managers, and attorneys.

What You'll Learn
At the conclusion of this workshop, the attentive learner will be able to:

Explain the reason(s) for buying flood insurance.
Discuss eligible and ineligible property, giving examples of each.
Identify the types of property covered and not covered by the Standard Flood Insurance Policy.
Analyze the types of accounts that would benefit from the Preferred Risk Policy and Condominium Master policy.
Given a claim situation, be able to state whether or not coverage is provided, giving specific reasons for your answer.

Learning to deal with conflict that may arise when others do not see things our way is an essential life skill that few have mastered. In this practical, hands-on approach to conflict management, attendees will analyze a conflict and apply key concepts to:

Assess your position in the conflict spectrum.
Understand the importance of relationships.
Use the appropriate tools to help resolve disputes and manage larger conflicts.

What’s It About?
This workshop will provide a comprehensive discussion of the latest business income coverages and extra expense coverages, and has been updated to reflect the changes in the latest Commercial Property policy. Attendees will learn the advantages of blanket coverage and the disadvantages of blanket insureds; about the treatment of electronic data; how to pick the proper limits of coverage; and many other important concepts. Two worksheet case studies will reinforce skills learned during the lecture.

What You’ll Learn
At the conclusion of this workshop, the attentive learner will be able to:

Understand the Business Income (and Extra Expense) Coverage Form.
Recognize the definitions of "business income" and "suspension."
Examine the revised Civil Authority coverage.
Understand the process of settling a business income loss.
Analyze the new additional insured endorsement.
Understand the coinsurance provision in business income coverage, and how to set a limit of insurance.
Identify alternatives to coinsurance in the Business Income Coverage Form.
Analyze how to cover discretionary payroll expense.
Recognize various endorsements in the Business Income Coverage Form.
Identify the exposure situations wherein the Leasehold Interest Coverage Form is appropriate.
