Serving Bermuda for over 55 years, Bermuda Pest Control Ltd. is the only Full Service Pest Control Company on the island.

Originally started in 1952 by C J Harris,  Bermuda Pest Control was purchased in 1975 by Denis DeSousa, the owner of Island Pest Control Operators, who moved the company to his premises at Rose Valley, Paget.

With what began as a practical solution to dealing with pests in family owned restaurants, Mr. DeSousa quickly realised a real need for his services during tourism’s heyday – keeping cockroaches, ants and rodents at bay throughout the Island’s hotels, as well as serving the local homeowner and rental market.

With the introduction of “tenting” for termite control in 1967, the replacement of roofs and flooring was no longer always necessary. This new process covering entire buildings provided an alternative for a fraction of the price, saving Bermudians thousands in renovations annually.

As newer technology became available, Bermuda Pest Control took advantage of what worked for the Island and became the first pest control company in the world to offer a seven-year warranty on their tent fumigations.

Moving into their purpose-built office and warehouse facility in Warwick in 1983 gave them a strategic location for a service company, and an equal time distance to either Dockyard or St. George’s, thus avoiding Hamilton traffic.

Bermuda Pest Control Ltd. has grown from three to 20 staff, and from one vehicle to 14, servicing the entire Island, including by land and by sea. We are instantly recognised by our red uniform shirts with trademark triangles, our technician's friendly, courteous dispositions, and our insistence upon quality results.

The Company provides both Commercial and Residential services for businesses, homes, hotels, and even ships and aircraft. Known at home and abroad for our expertise in tent fumigations, the community has become familiar with the distinctive red and blue fumigation "tents" covering entire buildings, even as large as the House of Parliament. Termite inspections and free estimates for tent fumigations are offered, and even small items such as antique furniture can be treated at our central facility in Warwick.
