The Post Code
Bermuda’s Postcode system is designed for faster mail sorting and delivery. Each post office has its own distinct two-letter, two-digit Postcode. The two letters get the mail to the correct post office. The two digits get it to the proper postal route. In the case of post boxes, the twoletter Postcode precedes the box number and appears again the right of the parish, accompanied by the two-digit designation. For residential delivery, the two-letter, two digit Postcode is simply placed to the right of the parish. To ensure speedy delivery of mail, letters should also include the proper house name, house number and the road name. Will you please help us by putting the Postcode on all you local mail and by asking your correspondents to use it when they write to you. |
| Box Holder Postcodes There are twelve post offices where private boxes are located. Each of the boxes in these offices is identified by a two-letter prefix followed by a number. The corresponding Postcode is comprised of the post office prefix followed by a space, then the letters BX - expect for Hamilton boxes where a further breakdown is used.
